Ghostie Latte 3D-Printed Mould Housing | Wax Melt, Freshie & Resin Mould Making

IMPORTANT: This is a physical 3D-printed mould housing. It is not a silicone mould.

Create your own Ghostie Latte silicone mould with this reusable 3D-printed housing. The shaped housing holds liquid mould-making silicone while it cures, helping you produce a flexible mould for wax melts, car freshies, resin pieces and similar craft projects.

You will receive:

• No silicone mould, wax melt, freshie, resin piece or digital file is included

Approximate sizes

• Printed housing: 72.3 × 53.3 × 18 mm
• Silicone mould produced: approximately 59.7 × 46.2 mm and around 10 mm thick when filled level with the housing rim
• Finished wax melt, freshie or resin piece: approximately 59.1 × 44.4 mm, with a main depth of around 5 mm and deeper raised-detail areas reaching approximately 8 mm

These measurements are approximate. The final dimensions can vary slightly according to silicone shrinkage, pour level, casting material and trimming. The amended housing keeps the same overall external size while providing a lower internal floor for improved mould depth.

About your printed housing

This item is 3D printed to order. Fine layer lines and small surface variations are normal characteristics of the process and do not affect its intended use. Filament colour may vary.

COMPLIMENTARY SILICONE-MOULD ADVICE

This guidance is included as a helpful starting point and does not replace the instructions supplied by your silicone manufacturer.

• Suggested hardness: a flexible mould-making silicone around Shore A 15 to 20 is a useful starting range for this shallow, detailed design. Shore A 15 is softer and easier to peel away from wax or freshies. Shore A 20 provides a slightly firmer, more supportive mould for repeated handling and resin casting.
• Place the housing on a completely flat, level and protected surface.
• Use a suitable release agent only if your chosen silicone manufacturer recommends one for the housing material.
• Measure and mix the silicone using the exact ratio and method stated by its manufacturer. Ratios differ between products.
• Pour slowly in a thin stream into the lowest corner and allow the silicone to rise naturally across the detail rather than pouring directly onto the fine features.
• Tap the housing gently to encourage trapped air to rise. Degas only when recommended for your silicone and when you have the correct equipment.
• Allow the silicone to cure fully before gently peeling it from the housing, then trim any flashing if needed.
• Carry out a small compatibility test first, especially when using platinum-cure silicone, coatings or unfamiliar materials.

The housing holds approximately a 10 mm-deep pour when filled to its own rim. If you want a thicker silicone backing for extra support, place the housing inside a taller, leakproof secondary mould box before pouring.

Safety: work in a ventilated area and follow all safety, PPE, handling and curing directions supplied with your chosen silicone, wax, resin or freshie material. This product is intended for craft use and is not supplied as a food mould.
